Dear Reader,
Summer has arrived at our house! The weather is sunny and warm. The routine of time at the sandbox and trips to the park has commenced. Our almost five year old has graduated from preschool and now looks toward kindergarten in a few short months.
Life is full these days, not as much with scheduled items but with the everyday. I love that my role as a mom gives such purpose and focus to each moment; I'm also finding though that there is little time for much else right now.
And so not only has summer been welcomed to our house, but also summer vacation for this blog begins now. I hope to reenter in fall. Quite honestly, I miss the writing and creative outlet, but this will be here in another season. For now, walks around the block pushing a stroller with a sweet little girl and watching my dear boy zoom on his bike are the life for me. And a lovely life indeed.
Pink and White Nursery
Dear Reader,
Hello! I'm still here. I hope the last few weeks have been enjoyable ones - perhaps with experiencing the lovely sights of springtime (and maybe even a spring break?) We had the opportunity for a quick getaway during my son's preschool spring break (and he already thinks spring break is the coolest - how does that thought start so young?!) We had a very nice celebration of Easter both at church and with our families.
I thought I would finally give you a few glimpses into our little girl's nursery. When I began writing this blog, one of my first posts centered on the decor updates in our then office. This office has now been transformed into a cozy (read: small but sweet) nursery close to our bedroom. Here are a few of my favorite touches...
I'm so pleased with the pink and white glow of this space. This room is very simple, but I love the layering of accessories to warm it up.
Happy Monday friends!

Happy Monday friends!
Happy Easter!
Jesus Christ is risen today, Alleluia!
Our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
Who did once upon the cross, Alleluia!
Suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia!
Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
Unto Christ, our heavenly King, Alleluia!
Who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
Sinners to redeem and save, Alleluia!
But the pains which he endured, Alleluia!
our salvation have procured, Alleluia!
now above the sky he's King, Alleluia!
where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!

Featured in a Treasury
The brightly patterned blocks are included in this great spring green treasury. I so enjoy the shades of green that come with this time of year!
Hope you are having a lovely day!
